NeuroPlex is a comprehensive and user
friendly software package for data acquisition and analysis of optical
imaging experiments.
The acquisition section has a variety of triggering and averaging
modes. This section also controls a shutter and stimulator and records
analog signals from eight BNC inputs. The acquisition section of
the program is specific to the hardware used for the NeuroPDA and
NeuroCCD systems.
The analysis section has extensive provisions for displaying traces
(intensity vs time) and movies of propagating activity.
The design of the software has benefited from customer suggestions.
We incorporate almost all of our user's suggestions about new features
and improvements.
This is a new package we now offer with the NeuroCCD-SM256 camera
(and hope to offer with other, newer cameras). This user friendly package is designed
by distinguished neuroscientists, and implements the complex stimulus procedures (event triggered)
commonly used in awake and anesthetized mammalian studies.
The Acquisition module is written on an IDL platform and is based on NeuroPlex principles of
interface to the RedShirtImaging cameras. For labs that do not have display and image analysis routines,
we provide “SumView”, a matlab based software package that can be used to visualize optical imaging data collected by CortiPlex. The subroutines can be used in developing your own analysis programs.
